Drum lessons at Capen Music cover rudiments, timing, reading and playing across a range of styles including rock, pop, jazz and more.

Lessons are one-to-one and built around your goals. We are the only Rockschool Examination Centre (REC) in Sri Petaling, so students who want to sit for Rockschool grades can register directly with us.

Students can start from around 4 to 5 years old, beginning on a practice pad before moving to a full kit.

Not to get started. Our studios have full drum kits for lessons. For home practice, an electronic drum kit or a practice pad is a good investment once you are committed to learning.

Electronic drum kits are a quiet and practical option for home use. They feel similar to a real kit and are suitable for practising at home without disturbing neighbours.

No. Exams are optional. Many students learn drums for fun or to play in a band with no intention of sitting formal assessments.

Lessons are 30 or 60 minutes depending on age and level.
